Yavenvale Kahuna K115 (P)

Yavenvale Kahuna K115 (P) was retained as our lead stud sire for 2016 as he offers so many positive traits for our herd. With outcross genetics, tremendous EBVs and indexes, he is a very balanced bull with natural presence. A bull that holds his condition Kahuna is homozygous polled and his first calves look impressive. CB 57U Can Doo 102Y, Kahuna’s sire was one of the best bulls we inspected at the 2012 World Hereford Conference and has bred some good females in particular here so far. Koanui purchased the NZ semen rights for use in their outstanding herd.


Yarrandabbie Jingle J018

Yarrandabbie Jingle J018 (P) was purchased for the top price of $40,000 at the 2015 Wodonga National Show and Sale. A bull with presence, he has tremendous temperament and balanced EBVs. Jingle is homozygous polled and his first calves have shape and thickness.  Jingle’s pedigree has great predictability sired by Matariki Holy – Smoke, a NZ bull with almost 1000 progeny recorded who has bred cattle at Yavenvale with exceptional muscle. Jingle’s dam, Osullivans Fancy A65 has great longevity and is one of the best cows at Yarrandabbie, breeding two other stud sires.

Churchill Stud 3134A (P)

We purchased the Australian semen rights in Churchill Stud 3134A (P) as he has so many attributes that will enhance our herd. His EPD’s are tremendous with below average birth weight to top 1% yearling weight, top 5% rib eye and top 10% marbling. Both his sons in our 2017 sale, Lots 87 & 88 show the exceptional muscling that Stud breeds. The temperament and eye setting of his calves is very good. His dam Churchill Lady 002X is one of the most prolific donors at Churchill. Stud is homozygous polled – look for his sons in our 2018 sale as they are presently showing great potential.

Minlacowie Griffin (P)

Purchased for $25,000 as the last lot of the record-breaking 2013 Dubbo National, Minlacowie Griffin (P) is a bull with wow factor. He always seems to stand balanced and square and his outcross genetics completes the package. Griffin boasts a terrific birth-growth spread combined with impressive carcase figures. Griffin bred our top priced bull in 2016, Yavenvale Kingpin K317 who sold to Chester and Quamby Plains for $21,000. A full brother, Lot 31 Yavenvale Legend L329 is one of our leading bulls in our 2017 sale with an exceptional muscle pattern and the maternal power of Yavenvale Treasure D403, our leading donor cow.
