Allendale Vengeance A49 (P) topped the 2007 Dubbo Poll Hereford Show and Sale when he sold for $37,500 to Yavenvale and Gunyah Herefords. Vengeance’s sire, Allendale National is one of the most widely used and successful bulls in recent times with over 1000 progeny recorded on Breedplan. To date 25 Vengeance sons have averaged $4780 and sold to a top of $10,000 for Yavenvale Daydream to Newcomen Herefords. The three sons catalogued will be his last offering at Yavenvale but the Vengeance daughters are well represented in our 2015 sale as they are valuable females with high milk, quiet temperament and sound structure. Vengeance is a trait leader for milk, SS and IMF.
South Bukalong Wallace 2 (P) was purchased for $18,000 at the 2005 South Bukalong on-property sale - to date 57 Wally sons have averaged $4829 through the ring at Yavenvale. The Wally daughters are stand outs – tremendous milking ability with near perfect udders and bomb proof temperament. They are also exceptional breeders with 24 bulls out of Wally daughters in the 2014 sale draft. Wally sired Yavenvale Elvis who topped our 2011 sale for $10,000 and was accepted into the Herefords Australia progeny test program. Elvis has five sons inn our 2014 sale. Wally also sired Yavenvale Treasure D403 who is the dam of Yavenvale Guru, 2013 sale topper at $26,000. A true curve bender, the Wally influence will be felt at Yavenvale for years to come. Wally is a trait leader for GL, birth weight, milk, scrotal size, EMA and IMF and is in top 1% of the breed for all indexes.
We purchased Pine Hill Derby D578 (P) specifically to use on heifers and he has really hit the mark. Derby’s first six sons sold in our 2013 sale averaging $5083 and sold to a top of $9000 for Yavenvale Gallery purchased by Pipersleigh Herefords. Derby has one of the best birth-growth spreads in the breed and is by the extensively used South Bukalong Shannon 40. The first Derby daughters calved here as two-year-olds in spring 2013 and accurately reflect his milk figure. Already a trait leader for all growth traits and SS, Derby is a real all-rounder ranking in the top 1% of the breed for all indexes, top 5% for IMF and top 10% for milk, EMA and rib & rump fat.
A son of the widely used Koanui Rocket, Merrina 219 Altitude C41 (P) was the top priced bull at the Laucke-Merrina on-property sale in 2009 making $10,000. In our 2012 bull sale 14 Altitude sons averaged $4929 and topped at $10,000 for Yavenvale Fortress. Altitude boasts an incredible birth-to-growth spread and has really added doing ability to his progeny, as his figures indicate. The Altitude daughters are stand–outs for soundness and udder quality. Altitude is a trait leader for 400G and SS, top 5% of the breed for Rib, Rump, Milk and all indexes.
